How accurate are these savings estimates?
The estimates are based on the actual discount rates we give for our customers on AWS commitment-based pricing. The calculator applies service-specific rates that reflect real savings we deliver today. Your actual savings may vary slightly depending on your usage patterns, but most customers see results within 5-10% of the estimate.
How does MilkStraw AI actually work?
We continuously monitor your AWS usage and apply "Fluid Savings" you get the deep discounts of 3-year Reserved Instances and Savings Plans, but you're never locked in. When we find savings opportunities, we transfer MilkBoxes (pre-purchased commitment accounts) into your AWS Organization for instant discounts. If your needs change, we remove them. No lock-in, no downtime, no changes to your infrastructure.
Do you need access to my AWS account or data?
No. MilkStraw AI uses a read-only IAM role that can only see billing and usage data. We never access your workloads, VPCs, code, or sensitive information. Every action we take is logged in your AWS CloudTrail, and you can revoke access at any time.
What does MilkStraw AI cost?
Nothing upfront. We charge 20% of the savings we generate for you -- that's it. No onboarding fees, no monthly minimums, no charges for support. If we save you $3,000/month, our fee is $600 and you keep $2,400. You only pay when you're saving.
What if my usage changes or I need to scale?
That's the whole point of Fluid Savings. Unlike traditional Reserved Instances that lock you into a fixed commitment, MilkStraw AI adjusts automatically. If you scale up, we add more coverage. If you scale down, we remove what's not being used. You're never stuck paying for capacity you don't need.
How long does it take to start saving?
Setup takes about 5 minutes -- you deploy a CloudFormation template and we verify access. Most customers start seeing savings reflected in their next AWS bill cycle. There's no migration, no downtime, and no engineering work required.
